Meet Jaxson!
Meet five-year-old Jaxson! Those who know Jaxson describe him as the sweetest gift, bringing joy and love to everyone around him. Although he was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy at birth, Jaxson’s determination and bright spirit shine through every day. He is always finding ways to stay active, explore the world around him, and share his infectious smile with those he loves.
Jaxson enjoys watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, especially his favorite character, Goofy. He loves all kinds of music, and his favorite song is “Copacabana” by Barry Manilow. Some of Jaxson’s favorite activities include dancing, swimming, and playing with dolls. He also loves reading with his family, and his favorite book is Baby Loves to Boogie!, a perfect choice for a little boy who loves to move and groove whenever he can.
Jaxson received a vehicle modification to install a wheelchair lift on his family’s vehicle, providing safe and reliable transportation for medical appointments, family visits, and community outings. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Gerner Family Charitable Foundation, this modification will significantly reduce the physical strain on his mother and primary caregiver while giving Jaxson and his family greater safety, comfort, and independence as they continue to enjoy the experiences and connections that mean so much to them.
