Meet Jexel!

Jexel is a playful, creative six-year-old who loves to draw and build with magnet tiles. Last year, Jexel was diagnosed with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy. Despite some of the challenges he may face, he remains resilient, continuing to be a model student and great friend to his peers.

Jexel enjoys watching football, bowling, and soccer with his family; his favorite soccer player is Lionel Messi. When he’s not watching sports, he watches Sid the Science Kid and Spiderman. Jexel likes to build with magnet tiles and to draw in his free time. On the weekends, he loves seeing all the tiny dogs at the park when he visits.

Jexel received a new manual wheelchair that will help ensure safe mobility and full access to his school environment, allowing him to more fully participate in educational activities. Thanks to his generous sponsors, his ability to navigate school, home, and community settings has been greatly improved, giving him increased independence and a stronger opportunity to engage with the world around him.
