Meet Jos!

Jos is an intelligent 10-year-old who brightens his loved ones’ lives with his happiness. Jos was diagnosed with Arthrogryposis, Bilateral Hip Dislocation, and Bilateral Congenital Talipes Equinovarus (CTEV) at birth. He has overcome many challenges, including a lengthy hospital stay after having Bilateral Hip Dislocation and Bilateral CTEV corrected surgically.

Jos is a bright and fun-loving boy who enjoys reading library books and spending time at school with his friends. Math is his favorite subject because he loves learning new things and solving problems. One of Jos’s favorite movies is Cars, and his favorite character is Lightning McQueen. Outside of school, Jos enjoys playing games with his family, watching YouTube videos, and swimming for fun.

Jos received a new manual wheelchair designed to provide proper support, improve alignment, and relieve pressure for greater comfort and mobility. Even with bilateral Ankle-Foot Orthoses, Jos experiences significant difficulty walking and requires additional support to safely and independently participate in daily activities. Thanks to the generosity of his sponsor, William Cisell, Jos now has access to life-changing equipment that enhances his independence and allows him to participate more fully at school and within his community.
