Meet Lia!
Meet 8-year-old Lia! Lia was born with a chromosomal duplication and diagnosed at six months old with ageneis of the corpus callosum, which is a birth defect present in her brain. She is prone to absent seizures and is unable to talk and walk. She has been hospitalized several times, most recently back in November.
Despite Lia’s challenges, she is a silly and sassy girl with many interests. She has an eclectic taste in music, ranging from artists such as Taylor Swift to Snoop Dogg! However, her favorite artist is the legendary Bob Marley and her favorite song is “Three Little Birds.” She is also a fan of the wildly popular Barbie movie, which she watches at least once a day! Lia is also a hockey fan and her two favorite teams are the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Her favorite places to visit are the zoo and the aquarium, as she loves all aquatic animals. Lia’s infectious spirit makes it easy for others to fall in love with her!
