Meet 4 year-old Lia, who was diagnosed with spastic paraplegia and motor development delay. She has problems walking, but her determination is stronger than her disability.
Lia is a highly intelligent girl. She speaks both Spanish and English! She also loves learning about numbers and the alphabet. Reading is another of her favorite pastimes. She is resolute, too. Lia works tirelessly at walking and getting stronger, despite the discomfort and frustration of exercise. Her philosophy is not “I think I can,” but “I know I will!”
Lia needs an adaptive tricycle to increase lower extremity and torso strength to improve her balance and stamina. The trike will also develop a better walking gait. Please help her soon!
