Meet Marsavion!
Meet sixteen-year-old Marsavion. Marsavion was diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome with physical limitations. In early childhood he had several bilateral surgeries with hardware placement to correct the misalignment of his feet. He is unable to walk unassisted, and for very short distances. Marsavion is nonverbal and communicates with the assistance of a communication device. He is currently pre-diabetic and in desperate need of an exercise routine that will help him to improve his overall health.
Marsavion is a cheerful and loving young man. He is the first to offer a smile and a hug. Every room he enters is brighter for having him. He loves Bruno Mars and will dance anytime he hears him sing Uptown Funk. He also loves to play Uno with his big sisters. He’s cheerful rather he wins the game or not. His cheer is unerring, rather with his family, at church, or school.
Marsavion needs a Trike to help him exercise and improve mobility. Thanks to the Rappaport Fund for helping Marsavion get is very own trike! Now he can ride in his neighborhood while working on strengthening his muscles.
