Meet Richard!
Meet seven-year-old Ricky. He was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He does not have much independent mobility and needs help with daily tasks. Ricky, despite his limitations, is a fun and energetic kid.
Ricky has several interests. He watches the various Transformers series. He is a fan of the Super Mario Brothers movie and video games. He listens to rock music. He loves theme parks with rollercoasters—this boy has so much energy that the rollercoaster can barely keep up with his need for speed! Ricky is homeschooled, and his favorite subjects are environmental science and zoology—he thinks sharks and dinosaurs are the coolest! Ricky could talk forever about his favorite things! He is a cheerful boy who is never seen without a charming and radiant smile. Ricky might be a fast-moving boy, but he is even faster at winning our hearts!
