Meet Theodore!

Meet 11-year-old Theodore! Theodore is a kind, outgoing social butterfly who loves making friends wherever he goes. After years of being misdiagnosed, Theodore was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy in 2021. Despite the challenges that come with his diagnosis, Theodore is determined and ambitious, never letting his disability stop him from doing the things he loves, including playing basketball.

Theodore enjoys watching Minecraft videos on YouTube and using what he learns to build creative worlds of his own in the game. He also loves singing along to country music with his mom during car rides, especially hitting all the high notes. One of Theodore’s favorite places is his grandpa’s old lake property, where he enjoys fishing with his family and searching for unique rocks and shells to add to his collection with his sister.

Theodore received a home modification designed to improve accessibility and support his mother’s caregiving responsibilities. The installation of a wheelchair ramp provides him with safe and reliable access to and from his home, makes caregiver-assisted transfers safer and more efficient, and increases his independence within the community. Thanks to the generosity of his sponsor, this home modification has made a meaningful, life-changing difference for Theodore and his family, enhancing both their safety and quality of life.
