Meet Woodley

Meet eight-year-old, Woodly. As an infant, Woodly had jaundice, leading to neurological damage. His condition, Kernicterus, led to a Cerebral Palsy diagnosis as well. Woodly is non-Ambulatory, requiring full assistance to move or walk. He in nonverbal, using a talker to communicate. He is able to use his talker to communicate in both English and Creole.

Despite those struggles, Wooly remains a happy and empathetic young man. He loves it when his Mom reads his favorite book, I Love You Stinky Face. Mom loves it when little Woodly sits in her lap and laughs as she helps him with the hand movements to his favorite song, “Shake Your Sillies Out” No matter what they are doing, he is happy and affectionate.

Woodly needs a Hoyer Lift to make transfers safer for both himself and his caretakers. Please be his sponsor today!
