Meet Melanie 💙💗
Melanie is a happy and determined 9-year-old who loves being the center of attention. She enjoys bright colors, especially blue and pink, and one of her favorite activities is coloring—she’s drawn to all things colorful.
Melanie loves children’s songs and anything Minnie and Mickey Mouse. Her favorite outings include going to Pollo Tropical for lunch and visiting the park to watch other kids on the swings.
Diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy at one year old, Melanie is fully dependent on her mom for care and mobility. While she communicates in her own way, her mom understands her best. Melanie also has an older brother with a similar diagnosis.
Melanie’s joyful spirit shines through every day. She currently needs a Hoyer lift to support safe daily care.
