Meet Milagros!
Milagros is a loving 13-year-old with a beautiful smile and a gentle spirit that brightens every room she enters. She loves spending time with her family, giving warm hugs, helping in the kitchen, and building with Legos. Whether she’s cheering during the World Cup, creating art with her classmates, visiting the zoo, or playing with her little dog, Inoa, Milagros finds joy in the people and moments she loves most.
Born with Spina Bifida, Milagros has faced incredible challenges since birth, including more than 20 surgeries and lengthy hospital stays. She has no movement from the waist down and is completely dependent on others for mobility. Despite everything she has endured, she remains calm and inspires everyone around her with her resilience and positive outlook.
A lightweight power wheelchair would give Milagros the freedom to move more independently at school, at home, and in her community. With greater mobility, she can spend more time with friends, participate in the activities she enjoys, and continue growing into the confident, caring young lady she is meant to be.
