Meet Norah!
Three-year-old Norah is a shining light who fills every room with her bright smile and warm spirit. Norah has faced more than her fair share of challenges, but she continues to inspire everyone around her with her resilience and joyful heart. Diagnosed with CDKL5 deficiency disorder, Norah is at an infant cognitive level and requires assistance with most daily tasks. She cannot walk, uses AFOs, and relies on a stander and stroller to explore the world—but that doesn’t stop her from finding joy in life’s simplest pleasures.
Norah loves the great outdoors and finds happiness in swinging at the park or going for walks in her wagon, taking in the beauty of nature all around her. Nature documentaries, especially shows about National Parks, light up her eyes, and her favorite song, “The Wheels on the Bus,” always brings a smile to her face. Norah’s favorite color is red, her favorite food is spaghetti (modified to fit her special keto diet), and her toy collection is full of light-up, sound-making treasures that capture her attention. Though she does not speak, Norah communicates using an eye-gaze machine and has a sweet, calm presence that touches everyone she meets.
Despite her physical limitations, Norah is a happy, resilient child who has already overcome so much in her young life. She’s sweet and snuggly, and her strength is matched only by her bright spirit. Norah would benefit greatly from a wheelchair to help her engage more fully with the world she loves so much. With your support, we can help give Norah more freedom to explore, grow, and continue spreading her beautiful light.
