Meet Paola!

Meet 17-year-old Paola. Sadly, she was born with complications, including oxygen deprivation. She spent a month in the hospital and was eventually diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Paola has numerous obstacles due to the illness. She is cognitively underdeveloped and nonverbal. Paola is also unable to walk or stand without assistance. She uses a stander to help with her mobility. She continues moving forward despite her limitations.

Paola engages  in activities that are both relaxing and fun. She watches  Word Party, a Jim Henson produced show where zany animals strive to build a child’s vocabulary. She listens to a variety of music, but her favorite types are anything soothing. Paola enjoys going outside and getting a bit of sunshine when the weather is inviting. The young girl, however, is as sweet as her interests. She is brave and faces every new trial with a smile. She is loving to her family—a day does not pass without cuddles and snuggles! There are many ways to accurately describe the wonderful girl.  In Latin, Paola means humble and small. To her mom, Paola is simply beautiful and perfect. For us all, she is inspiring.

Paola needs a medical stroller to provide better support and comfort while also making transportation safer. Please be her sponsor!
