Meet Summer!

Meet 12-year-old Summer. This sweet girl suffered from a stroke before her birth. She was eventually diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She has muscle weakness and uses a wheelchair for independent mobility. She almost exclusively uses her right hand for everything, including maneuvering her chair. Summer moves forward in life despite her obstacles.

Summer has fun in various ways. She has a passion for dolphins. She took a trip to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and had an opportunity to interact with Hope, who starred in her favorite movies A Dolphin Tale 1&2. Her dream job is to become a dolphin trainer. Summer’s hobby is drawing, and she can draw any animal with perfection. She excels in art class, too. She also has a four-legged best friend, a pit bull named Angel—they are inseparable buddies! Summer has a great personality. She makes everybody laugh and has earned the nickname, Silly Summer. She has gone through a lot and is determined to succeed at all things. Meet Summer. She is the bright ray of sunshine who warms all our hearts.

Summer has received an elevator seat for her wheelchair to improve her independence!
We want to give a special thanks to Martin Andersen for being Summer’s sponsor!
