Meet Malorie!
Meet eight-year-old Malorie. A tragic incident caused this sweet girl to have a traumatic brain injury. She was in a coma for nine days and was eventually diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Doctors Thought that Malorie would never be responsive or aware of her surroundings. She, however, has surprised everyone.
Malorie has numerous interests. She listens to upbeat Disney music. She enjoys reading, and one of her favorite books is Bedtime Prayers. She collects everything from beautiful dolls to pretty rocks. She likes going to the zoo and seeing adorable beavers. Malorie also loves hanging out with her friends during school recess. She has more interests, but these pale compared to her strong personality. She is a jokester who enjoys making people laugh. Malorie tenaciously fights for her goals until they are achieved. She manages to overcome the odds and achieve what doctors thought would be impossible. Malorie does not just live. She thrives. She is a miracle who inspires us all.
Malorie needed an adaptive tricycle to improve her leg strength and overall health. She will have a fun time riding the trike, too. Thanks to a sponsorship through Athletes Helping Athletes, Wheelchairs 4 Kids was able to help Malorie obtain the Adaptive Tricycle that she needed!
