Meet Adela!
Meet 10-year-old Adela! Adela was born a healthy child, but mom noticed signs at a young age that something was off. She started having grand mal seizures when she was 18 months old and wasn’t walking or talking. When she turned five, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder known as TBCK related encephalopathy, ultimately leading to her cerebral palsy diagnosis. She is 100% dependent on others and is bound to a wheelchair.
Despite Adela’s challenges, she remains a calm and loving child. She is a big fan of Disney’s Frozen and her favorite song is “Let it Go.” Her eyes light up and her attention turns to the screen every time she hears Elsa’s powerful voice. Adela is happiest when she is outdoors- she loves feeling the wind on her face! Visiting her local playground brings her immense joy! Perhaps the best quality about Adela is that she is a quiet warrior- she is slow to anger and lives each day to the fullest!
Adela is in need of a tilt-in-space medical stroller. This stroller will help provide Adela with the proper support and comfort she requires. A lightweight stroller will also make it easier for trips out and about in her community so she can enjoy being around others. Please be her sponsor!
