Meet Aiden!
Meet 6-year-old Aiden! Aiden has a rare genetic disorder affecting his nervous system known as Leigh Syndrome that he was diagnosed with at birth. It is a progressive, neurological disorder causing uncontrolled cell growth which can lead to cancerous tumors. It also causes muscle weakness, developmental delays, and impaired endurance. Despite Aiden’s trials, he remains a kind and easy-going little boy.
Aiden has several fun interests including playing with his collection of Hot Wheels to watching his favorite movie, Disney/Pixar’s Cars. He is also a fan of Formula 1, which is high class racing. He loves fast cars! Aiden also enjoys spending time with his service dog, Jasper, who is always there for him in times of need. Although Aiden is non-verbal, his greatest quality is that is he’s always happy and his smile can light up a room! Aiden spreads joy to all he meets!
Aiden received a Leggero Reach, which is a lightweight medical stroller. His current wheelchair is getting too hard for him to propel on his own and the use of a medical stroller would allow for easy transport and comfort.
