Meet Alayna!
Meet 7-year-old Alayna! Alayna was born prematurely at only 29 weeks and as a result, she has several congenital anomalies. Alayna endured surgeries on her hamstring as well as a tethered cord surgery due to her scoliosis. She had to have rods inserted in her back and every few months, adjustments were required. Recently, she underwent a procedure where she received MAGEC (magnetic) rods. She also has an adrenal insufficiency. Alayna requires the use of a wheelchair full-time.
Brave and resilient, Alayna always pushes through and doesn’t let her diagnoses get in the way of her dreams! She has many amazing hobbies, such as arts and crafts, drawing, and playing piano. She is a fan of the popular Netflix movie, K-Pop Demon Hunters, and loves to sing and dance along to all of the songs. She enjoys visiting Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and spending time at the Dr. Suess land. Recently, she has become passionate about the Wicked films and loves to belt out songs such as “Defying Gravity.” Much like Elphaba, nothing is ever gonna bring Alayna down!
