Meet Ali!
Meet 11-year-old Ali. Ali has a rare genetic condition called Epidermolysis Bulloso which causes pain in his joints and blisters all over his body. His skin is comparable to butterfly wings, as it is very fragile. While he is still able to walk, his biggest limitation is the pain caused by bearing weight for long periods of time.
Ali is a smart and energetic young man. He recently moved to the US and can speak fluent Arabic. He is a big fan of race cars. Formula 1 racing is his favorite sport, and he enjoys browsing YouTube videos of his idol, race car driver Max Verstappen. In his spare time, you can find him playing video games (mostly racing games, of course!). It’s no surprise his favorite movie is Disney/Pixar’s Cars! Perhaps the most interesting thing about Ali is his caring nature- he can sense when someone is feeling down, and loves finding ways to talk to them and help cheer them up. Ali is a rare beacon of hope in a world that can often seem bleak!
Ali is in need of a therapy bike. This bike will help reduce the demand on his joints and help him gain muscle strength. He will not only be able to enjoy the activity of riding a bike with his siblings but also be able to play outside with his peers. Please be his sponsor!
