Meet 2-year-old Alonso. He was diagnosed with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum at birth. Alonso experiences weakness in his arms and legs, which affects his balance and mobility. While he faces many challenges, he remains a happy and active little boy.
Alonso has several interests that bring him comfort and joy. He enjoys watching Christian-based children’s shows on YouTube and can often be found curled up listening as Mom reads his favorite books. Most of all, he loves sitting and playing peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake. Alonso is known to be a peaceful and curious little guy who enjoys spending time outdoors. Though he is quiet and often prefers to remain in his own world, he inspires everyone around him and truly makes our world a better place.
Thanks to the generosity of the wonderful people at the Herbert Bearman Foundation, Alonso has received the new parts for his stander. With these updates, he is now able to use it safely and with the comfort and support he deserves as he continues to grow and thrive.
