Meet Andres!

Meet 13-year-old Andres! Andres has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is a progressive, hereditary neuromuscular disease leading to muscle weakness. His twin brother was also diagnosed with Duchenne’s. Andres is wheelchair bound and while he can still do many tasks on his own, he does require assistance getting around from place to place.

Despite his challenges, Andres is a joyful 13-year-old boy, who has many fun interests, including drawing. He is the artist of his family and always has a pencil and paper on hand. He loves crafting as well. Andres enjoys watching the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and the teen horror flick, Five Nights at Freddy’s, which he also has a collection of Freddy’s merchandise. Andres’ artistic nature and easygoing personality make him an exceptional child who doesn’t let his disability stand in his way!

Andres and his brother were in need of a vehicle lift to store their chairs in when traveling. Thanks to Harmar, the lift was provided, and they now can travel with ease, not having to worry about getting their heavy chairs in and out of the vehicle!
