Meet 13-year-old Antonio, a sweet and loving young man diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy. Antonio is unable to walk and relies entirely on a wheelchair for mobility and his family for daily care.
Despite his challenges, Antonio finds joy in the little things. He is a huge fan of all things Mickey Mouse and loves watching Disney favorites like Raya and Encanto. He especially enjoys Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, which never fails to bring a smile to his face. Antonio also loves being read to and is particularly drawn to sensory books that light up, make sounds, and offer different textures to explore. Though quiet and content in his own world, Antonio’s gentle spirit and warm heart inspire everyone around him.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the George W. Jenkins Foundation and Max Remodeling Home and More, Antonio and his family now have a safe, accessible shower that has truly changed their daily lives.
Before the renovation, Antonio’s bathroom was far too narrow for him to use safely. His caregivers had to lift him in and out of a traditional bathtub—an exhausting and risky task that often left the floor wet and slippery. Every bath was a challenge filled with worry.
Now, thanks to this thoughtful gift, Antonio can bathe in comfort and safety, and his family can care for him with far less stress and fear of injury. Their days are a little easier, and their hearts are a lot lighter.
