Meet 7-year-old Asher! Asher is a bright, silly and mischievous young boy. Asher is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and ATR-X Syndrome. ATR-X Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder caused by mutations in the ATRX gene on the X chromosome. It leads to severe developmental delays, Hypotonia and intellectual disabilities.
Asher adores Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He not only enjoys the TV series, but the soundtrack itself in the morning will light him up with a smile. Asher was able to visit Disney World theme park with the Make A Wish Foundation! He also is a Nascar fan and enjoys going to his adaptive dance classes called Dance Without Limits.
Asher’s condition does not allow him to walk and he is non-verbal. His family has a bathtub that they need to convert into a roll-in shower.
