Meet 3-year-old Athena. She was diagnosed with Trisomy 9 Mosaic, a rare genetic disorder that causes weakness in her arms and legs, affecting her balance and endurance. Despite her challenges, Athena remains a happy and active little girl.
Athena has many interests. She loves to sing along when Mom plays Simple Songs. She enjoys story time with Mom and Dad—her favorite book is Going on a Bear Hunt. Curious by nature, Athena loves spending time outdoors. Though she is quiet and often prefers to remain in her own little world, she inspires everyone around her and makes the world a brighter place.
Athena needs an Adaptive Therapy Tricycle. This special tricycle will help her continue her physical therapy at home while having fun. It will also give her the chance to join family bike rides and engage with her peers.
