Meet 12-year-old Aubrey. Cheerful and bright, Aubrey navigates life with Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that affects the way the brain develops. The disorder causes a loss of spoken language and motor skills, as well as behavioral and neurological issues.

Aubrey’s favorite colors are pink and purple. Her favorite TV shows are Doc McStuffins and Bubble Guppies; she could watch them all day every day! Aubrey loves when her mom reads Harry Potter during story time. She also treasures her Disney World trips with her dad, where she gets to go on The Little Mermaid or Haunted Mansion rides.

Aubrey’s condition does not allow her to walk without assistance. She currently relies on the help of the walker provided by her school to get around. When Aubrey is at home she has no support other than her family to hold her up. Your support and sponsorship will provide a posterior walker for Aubrey to give her freedom to move independently at home, empowering her to navigate her environment safely, just as she does at school. Please consider sponsoring Aubrey today!
