Meet Averii! She is thirteen years old and loves watching Cobra Kai, Squid Games, and volleyball matches. Her mom describes her with having a big heart and being funny, often being the jokester of the family.

Averii was diagnosed with Congenital Myopathy, a group of rare genetic disorders that affect the muscles, causing muscle weakness and hypotonia. This can make things like getting ready for school harder. Her parents reached out to W4K to purchase a new power wheelchair for her so she can travel longer distances without feeling fatigued.

Thanks to The Sorenson Legacy Fund, Averii received the power wheelchair she needed. To better support her growing needs, her parents reached out to W4K for assistance. The new chair has been a tremendous help, allowing Averii to travel longer distances without experiencing fatigue and making daily tasks, like getting ready for school, much easier.
