Meet Beatriz!

Meet Beatriz, a bright and expressive 8-year-old girl whose smile lights up every room. Beatriz lives with Cerebral Palsy and Spastic Quadriplegia, and needs full support for daily activities, including sitting up or moving from place to place. She uses a wheelchair for most of her day, especially on the bus to school, where her favorite moments include riding the adapted bicycle with a big, glowing smile.

Beatriz loves everything pink and spends her happiest moments listening to cheerful songs from her favorite Brazilian cartoons like Galinha Pintadinha and Lilica Ripilica. Though she cannot speak, she fills the air with joyful singing that only she understands, but those around her feel the love and joy in every note. Her favorite way to play is lying on the floor surrounded by her toys, creating her own magical world.

Beatriz’s wheelchair is too small for her growing body, and using it puts her at risk of injury. She needs a properly fitted manual wheelchair to support her safely and comfortably, so she can continue to explore, learn, and share her beautiful energy with the world. A new and properly fitted wheelchair will help Beatriz move through life with dignity, support, and her signature bright smile. Thanks to the help and support from Jabil Cares, Wheelchairs 4 Kids was able to help Beatriz obtain the wheelchair she desperately needed.
