Meet Benjamin!
Benjamin is an amazing young man who has never let the challenges in his life stop him from moving forward. He has lived with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT) his entire life. Over the years, it has affected the strength in his legs and feet, and he now uses a wheelchair to get around.
Benjamin is smart, determined, and a great problem-solver. He enjoys using logic and creativity to figure things out when he comes across a challenge. And now, he’s getting ready for a very exciting new adventure — college!
Benjamin plans to study Law, and we’re so excited to see where this next chapter takes him. When he’s not thinking about school, you can find him watching football or basketball. He cheers for the Cowboys and, when it comes to basketball, whatever team LeBron James plays for! He also loves traveling to the Dominican Republic.
We were thrilled when Benjamin was awarded a Wheelchairs 4 Kids Tuition Scholarship to help him pursue his college dreams.
But Benjamin needs our help with one more very important piece of his journey. He needs a lightweight power wheelchair to help him get around campus and have the independence he needs as he starts college.
