Meet Carli!

Meet 8-year-old Carli!  Carli was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was just over a year old after not meeting typical milestones. She is able to walk with the assistance of a reverse walker and also uses canes for distance. While she is extremely intelligent, and excels in school, she has challenges keeping up with her classmates when it comes to transitioning from classroom to recess time.

Carli is described as a sweet girl who can light up any room she enters with her outgoing and inspiring attitude! She has many fun interests, such as listening and singing along to her favorite artist, Taylor Swift, watching Fuller House on Netflix, and making colorful bracelets. She is a fan of the New York Yankees and has even attended some games with her family. Carli has a huge collection of Squishmallows that she enjoys cuddling with every day. Despite the challenges that Carli has had to face, she remains joyful with her unwavering spirit!

Carli received an Atto motorized scooter to help her be more independent in her daily tasks. Her mom said, “She is so anxious to ride it!” Her scooter was provided thanks to the generosity of the Rappaport Foundation.
