Meet 6-year-old Colton. He was born with a rare congenital heart defect, Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA), and suffered multiple strokes and a brain bleed before undergoing life-saving open-heart surgery. He depends on his family for assistance with balance and muscle weakness. This resilient and funny young man brings kindness and happiness wherever he goes.
Colton has many interests. He likes watching The Lion King and Spiderman. He is a bright boy who loves P.E. Colton loves to catch a football game with dad and cheer on their favorite team, the Washington Commanders.
Colton needs an adaptive therapy tricycle. An adaptive tricycle would help Colton build strength and coordination while allowing him to experience the joy, confidence, and independence that comes with riding alongside his family and friends.
A huge thank you to the GTE Financial Charitable Foundation for helping make this special day possible for Colton! Colton has officially received his new Rifton Adaptive Tricycle, and we couldn’t be more excited for him. This trike will give him new opportunities to stay active, build strength, and simply enjoy being a kid.
Thank you for your generosity and for making such a meaningful difference in Colton’s life. We are so grateful for your support!
