Meet Cooper!

Meet Courageous Cooper! This silly 6-year-old was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus. At birth, he suffered a grade 3 and 4 brain bleed. He had to have a VP shunt when he was only 6 months old. He also had a hernia on his large intestines and spent time in the NICU. Cooper is 100% dependent on others. He is unable to bear weight on his legs, but has strong upper body strength.

Cooper is described as a playful kid. He enjoys watching Cocomelon and listening to his favorite song, “The Wheels on the Bus.”  The Bingo the Dog book series, along with The Cat in the Hat are his favorite books. Cooper is his most relaxed when he is around water. He especially enjoys day trips to Epperson Lagoon and local beaches. Cooper also enjoys interacting with his brothers and playing in ball pits!

Cooper needs a lightweight medical stroller. He only has a loaner from school, which he is not allowed to take home. Having his own stroller would be beneficial to his health and make it easier to transport him throughout the community. Please consider being his sponsor!
