Meet 17-year-old Destiny. She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy just a few months after she was born. She is fully dependent on her family for her daily needs. Destiny has many challenges, but she has a smile that brightens even the darkest of days.
Destiny has an old soul. She is a huge fan of Neil Diamond. She likes watching All in the Family when she’s not curled up with mom reading her favorite books, The Pigeon Series. Most of all, she adores her dogs, Ginny, Figaro, and Stubby. Destiny is known to be a social girl who has a good sense of humor.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Wawa Foundation and the amazing craftsmanship of Kenny and Travis at Sturchios Residential Construction, LLC, Destiny can now safely and comfortably access her bedroom.
When it seemed like widening her bedroom doorway might not be possible, Kenny and Travis found a creative solution that gave Destiny the extra space she needed to get her wheelchair through with ease.
This simple home modification will make a meaningful difference in Destiny’s daily life, giving her greater independence and making it easier for her to move freely in her own home. Thank you for helping make this possible!
