Meet Draven!
Meet 12-year-old Draven! Draven was diagnosed with epilepsy after having a Grand mal seizure when he was 5 years old. The seizures can be violent and occur every day. Most of them are atonic drop seizures, which cause him to fall down without warning, and often lead to injuries. He currently wears a helmet to help prevent further injuries, but he has previously broken bones and had to have several stitches on his face due to the sudden drop seizures.
Despite Draven’s trials, he remains a motivated child- so much so that he won an award at school for “Most Determined.” Draven enjoys watching his favorite shows, Dinosaur Train and Blippi in his spare time. He also in a fan of rock band Dead by April. Draven is a thrill seeker and loves to visit Universal Studios to ride the roller coasters. His other favorite place to visit is Indian Rocks Beach, where he enjoys swimming and going on wagon-rides through the trails. Draven’s determination is what makes him such an accomplished child and he has won our hearts- we know he will win yours as well!
Draven is in need of a vehicle lift. He recently received a new manual wheelchair and needs a way to transport it, since his vehicle is not wheelchair accessible. Please be his sponsor!
