Meet Edward!

Meet 5-year-old Edward! Edward has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and is unable to ambulate. He uses a push wheelchair for distances and a gait trainer and stander at home. His endurance and leg strength are limited. He is non-verbal but expresses his self through a series of grunts and squeals.

Despite Edward’s struggles, he remains a happy and easy-going little boy. He loves to be outdoors and his favorite activities involve swimming, going on walks, and visiting the Blue Ridge mountains. He is a fan of the exciting game show, Family Feud, and claps along with the winning team. His favorite movie is the Disney classic, “The Lion King,” and much like his favorite song, “Hakuna Matata”, Edward chooses to live life with no worries and makes the best out of every situation!

Edward received a Rifton therapy bike at the Christmas trike presentation at The Local at Legends golf course. This bike will help increase his leg strength and will also give him more permission to engage in social activities in his community. Special thanks to the Harper Family Foundation for being his generous sponsor.
