Meet Erik!
Meet 6-year-old Erik! Erik was diagnosed a few years ago with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive disorder affecting his muscles and joints. While he is still able to walk short distances, he fatigues easily and struggles with leg cramps. He utilizes a medical stroller for distances.
Despite Erik’s diagnosis, he remains a curious and goofy little boy. He loves to make others laugh and has developed quite a sense of humor! Erik has many fun hobbies including drawing, painting and working on his ABCs and 123s! He tries to remain active by kicking a soccer ball or throwing a basketball. He is also quite the builder when it comes to LEGOs! Erik has an infectious spirit that will make you smile as soon as you meet him!
Erik received a new Leggero medical stroller. His current stroller was loaned, and parts were beginning to break, as it has been quite well-loved. This new stroller will give him the support he requires and will make trips out in his community safer and more comfortable for him.
