Meet Fernanda!

Meet 10-year-old Fernanda! Fernanda has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk without the assistance of a gait trainer. She fatigues easily and needs to take frequent breaks. She currently is using a loaner wheelchair from school that provides her with minimal support.

Fernanda is described as a very affectionate and loving young lady. She constantly tells her mom how much she loves her. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to Shakira and singing along with her siblings. She has a flair for art and enjoys coloring. To relax, her form of enjoyment is swinging on swings with the soft wind blowing in her face! It’s easy to see why Fernanda’s beautiful soul makes her one of a kind – she is kind, compassionate, and understanding. She never lets her diagnosis get her down!

Fernanda received a new manual wheelchair that will provide her with the support and safety that is required. A custom wheelchair is a necessity for her. Special thanks to R.M Baynard and the JT Townsend Foundation for being her gracious sponsors!
