Meet Frankie! He is 14-years-old and was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at just six. Duchenne’s is a progressive genetic disorder that heavily affects his mobility and his ability to live comfortably. Frankie has suffered from several falls and has faced multiple fractures he has had to recover from. Despite all of this, his beaming personality continues to shine through.

Frankie has many interests and is known for his contagious laughter. He enjoys riding his therapy bike with his little brother, playing video games, and watching cooking or drawing videos on YouTube. But you’ll see his most infectious smile when he’s jamming out with his mom and brother to his favorite artist, Jason Aldean.

Frankie is in need of a roll-in shower, as he has suffered multiple falls in the bathroom and tub he currently uses. He shouldn’t have to feel discomfort or fear when using his own bathroom or taking a shower.

Thanks to the generosity of the Nursery Foundation, Frankie now has a safer, more comfortable roll-in shower. This important addition will make daily routines easier and provide greater comfort, independence, and peace of mind for both Frankie and the family.
