Meet Gracelyn!

Meet Grateful Gracelyn or better known by her friends and family as Gracie! Gracie enjoys being active, but fatigues easily due to her antibody deficiency disorder. She was born with Down Syndrome and at only three months old, she underwent surgery for congestive heart failure. Gracie has spent over 100 days of her short life in the hospital. While she can walk short distances, she lacks coordination and endurance and uses a wheelchair for long distance.

Despite Gracie’s struggles, she remains a magnetic bundle of joy! She loves warm hugs, like her favorite character, Olaf! She enjoys watching Bluey and Mickey Mouse cartoons and singing and dancing along to Silly Miss Lily and Ms. Rachel. Gracie spends most of her time using her imagination, playing with her Barbie dolls and reading her collection of Gerald & Piggy books. Gracie’s mom says she is “an answered prayer,” and even though she may not look or act like other kids her age, she remains a loving and joyful little girl!

Gracie needs a therapy bike. This specialized bike will help her with endurance and muscle strength in her legs and hips. The adapted support of the bike will also decrease her risk of falling and help her feel safe. Please consider being her sponsor so she can enjoy bike rides with her family and peers!
