Meet 4-year-old Grady, who was diagnosed with Hypotonia at 1 year old. He has weakness in his arms and legs, which affects his balance and endurance. Grady has many challenges, but he remains happy and active.

Grady has several interests. He is a huge fan of Country music, and he enjoys listening to Tyler Childers. His favorite song is “Biten’ List”. He likes watching Mickey Mouse and Ms. Rachel when he’s not curled up with Mom or Dad, reading his favorite books. Grady enjoys watching basketball and football. He is known to be a loving and silly guy who enjoys spending time outdoors. He loves going to the park and playing on the swings, feeling the wind on his face.

Grady reached out to Wheelchairs 4 Kids to get assistance in getting an adaptive therapy tricycle, one that will allow him to continue working on his physical therapy from the comfort of home while building strength, coordination, and independence. Just as importantly, it will give him the chance to enjoy something many children take for granted: riding alongside his siblings and being part of those special family moments.

Thanks to the generosity of the wonderful people at the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation, Grady has received an adaptive therapy tricycle. He can now ride alongside his siblings instead of watching from the sidelines. This incredible gift will help him build confidence and independence while getting the physical therapy he needs, and most importantly, having fun while doing it.
