Meet Griffin!

Meet Griffin! This remarkable 14-year-old was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and periventricular leukomalacia when he was an infant. Griffin was born prematurely and white matter was found on his brain, which led to his mobility issues. He has very limited access with his left side and no access with his right side. He requires full assistance with transfers.

Despite Griffin’s struggles, he remains a joyful and faith-centered young man. He enjoys listening to worship music, reading the Bible, and spending time with his local church community. Griffin loves musical instruments, especially the guitar. He enjoys visiting his town’s music shop and also likes going thrifting and to yard sales to see if he can find any unique finds. Griffin is a fan of baking shows and often searches YouTube to look up new cuisine options. Perhaps Griffin’s greatest feature is that he is highly loveable and always excited and eager to start each new day with a smile!

Griffin received a new manual wheelchair from Kii Mobility. He had outgrown his current chair and his posture and safety were being affected. This new chair will allow him more independence in his community and be easier to transport than his bulky power chair. Special thanks to his generous sponsor, the Neaux Construction Group for their support!
