Meet 13-year-old Haylie! Haylie was born with a Neurodegenerative Disorder and Brain Atrophy. Because of muscle weakness, spasms, and balance challenges, she’s unable to walk long distances without assistance. Despite the obstacles she faces, Haylie is full of love and light, with a sparkle in her eye that brightens every room.
Haylie has a wide range of interests. She’s a huge Disney fan—especially Magic Kingdom, where she got to meet Mickey, Minnie, and Moana, a memory she treasures. She loves watching Gabby’s Dollhouse and playing games on her iPad. Haylie also enjoys listening to music, with Florida Georgia Line being her favorite band.
She adores her furry companions—two dogs, Maxie and Bella, and three cats, Raven, Moofun, and Smarch. Haylie is a peaceful, shy girl who cherishes time with her family. Though she prefers the quiet of her own world, her strength and spirit inspire everyone around her and make our world a better place.
Haylie’s mom reached out to Wheelchairs 4 Kids for help in getting Haylie a much-needed lightweight manual wheelchair. This new chair provides the safety, comfort, and support she needs, while also making transportation much easier for her and her family. Thanks to the generosity of a very special sponsor, Haylie and her mom have received the wheelchair they were hoping for!
