Meet Jessie!
Meet five-year-old Jessie! Jessie’s mom found out that her beautiful baby was diagnosed with spina bifida at just 20 weeks pregnant. Little did she know just how much their lives were going to change. Jessie is able to walk short distances with the support of her walker or wheelchair but requires assistance for longer distances due to her limited mobility. Every day, Jessie pushes through, determined to build her strength, endurance, and coordination!
Jessie has brought their family endless laughter, light, and joy — even while enduring five surgeries on her hips and feet. Her favorite things to do are going to the park, playing with her sister and family, and spending time at the beach. She loves listening to Taylor Swift, as her favorite song is We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together! Jessie loves making art and solving puzzles whenever she can. Ironically, her favorite snacks to enjoy while watching her favorite movie, Monsters, Inc., are cereal and candy. Through it all, Jessie has filled her family’s life with adventure and optimism through her powerful imagination and helpful demeanor.
