Meet Joeshlyann!
Meet 8-year-old Joeshlyann! Joeshlyann has a rare genetic disorder known as TBCK syndrome, or infantile hypotonia. She also has a seizure disorder, but thankfully her seizures are controlled and she only has a few per year. She is 100% dependent on others as she can’t walk, talk, or crawl. However, she remains a calm and happy child.
Joeshlyann has a peaceful demeaner. She is never angry and rarely gets upset. She smiles the most when she sees or hears a cow (whether on TV, a stuffed animal that makes noise, or a real cow!) She loves to watch animal shows on TV and play with her sensory toys, especially the ones that light up, make noise or sing. Joeshlyann is mostly home-bound and does not like being outside when it’s too warm. She prefers the cold and on rare days when the weather dips, her mom takes her on neighborhood walks. Joeshlyann is a sweet and quiet soul with a giant heart that touches the lives of all she meets.
Joeshlyann is in need of a lightweight manual wheelchair. Her current chair is too wide and won’t comfortably fit inside her family’s vehicle. A new chair will provide her with the means to get out in the community more often while also keeping her safe and secure. Please be her sponsor!
