Meet Joey! She is a 9-year-old girl that loves watching Ms. Rachel and going on hikes and camping with her family. Joey has been diagnosed with Lissencephaly, a rare gene-linked brain disorder that affects the development of the cerebral cortex. Despite being nonverbal and having a vision impairment, she cheers on her family’s favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Joey loves all music especially rock and country. Her mom describes her as happy, energetic, and loving, always ready for an adventure with the support of her family.

Joey’s mom, reached out to W4K to install a wheelchair ramp at their home. As she gets older, her family feels having a ramp would be beneficial to give Joey more independence and make transfers easier when going out to appointments. Please be a sponsor for Joey!

Success Story:  Joey’s ramp to Independence!

Thanks to our generous supporters: Jaime & Evan Longoria, Joey now has a brand new wheelchair ramp at home—making her daily life safer, smoother, and more independent!

This ramp was more than just a structure—it’s a step toward independence and inclusion for a little girl who lives life with so much joy and spirit.

Thank you for helping make this possible!
