Meet Joshua
Meet six-year-old Joshua. Joshua has a Traumatic Brain Injury and Cerebral Palsy. He struggles with weakness. Because of the weakness and his hips being unaligned, he uses an SMO and AFO brace. He is able to stand and walk with assistance.
An active little boy, Joshua is often found at the park. He loves blowing bubbles, exploring, and using the accessible swings and slide. He loves monkeys. “They’re just really funny to him” says Dad. He tells me how Joshua loves music, especially the bright cheerful kid tunes. Mostly though, if you want to know about Joshua, you should know that Joshua inspires hope in those around him. As Dickinson said, “Hope is the thing with feathers.” Joshua, overcoming each obstacle thrown his way is that hope to everyone who knows and loves him. If Joshua can do this, what can I do? He inspires everyone around him to try a little harder; a little longer. His motivation and tenacity shining through his struggles.
Joshua needs a sponsor to help him get the Adaptive trike he needs. The trike will allow him to build weakened muscles, improve his reciprocating movement, and of course give him the freedom of a bike ride. A thing every child deserves the chance to experience. Please be his sponsor today.
