Meet Julian. Julian is a joyful and resilient 2-year-old who has already overcome so much. Born a preemie weighing just 1lb, he spent many months in the NICU, where he was later diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. His condition causes weakness in his arms and legs, affecting his balance and endurance. Despite these challenges, Julian continues to inspire everyone with his strength and determination.
Julian has several interests that light up his days. He enjoys watching Cloud Babies and 3 Little Baby Chicks on YouTube, and he loves listening to Christian music. His favorite song is “Goodness of God,” which his grandmother lovingly played for him during his NICU stay. Most of all, Julian delights in visiting his local park to play on the swings. He is also known for his love of therapy—especially when he gets to ride the adaptive therapy trike, which brings him pure joy.
Julian’s grandmother reached out to Wheelchairs 4 Kids seeking assistance in obtaining an adaptive therapy bike for Julian—a special trike designed to strengthen his muscles, improve coordination and balance, and give him a fun, safe way to enjoy the outdoors.
At the time of their application, Julian and his grandmother were facing incredible hardship and had no place to call home.
Well wishes truly do come true. With the help of generous supporters, Julian and his grandmother now have a place of their own. And thanks to the
Kiwanis Club of St Petersburg, and The Greater Palm Harbor Kiwanis Foundation, Julian received the adaptive therapy trike he so greatly needs.
Wheelchairs 4 Kids and Santa also made sure Julian woke up to presents under the tree on Christmas morning.
What a truly wonderful Christmas.
