Meet Katherine! Katherine is a bright and joyful 13-year-old who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at just one year old. Her condition affects her movement, posture, and muscle coordination, but despite these challenges, Katherine remains active and full of life.
She has a wide range of interests and passions. Katherine is a huge soccer fan, with Lionel Messi as her favorite player. She also loves watching challenge videos on YouTube, going to school to spend time with her classmates, and especially enjoys P.E. When she’s not in the classroom, you can often find her having fun at the local waterpark or exploring the fair.
Katherine is known for her bravery, joy, and the way she lights up the lives of those around her. She inspires everyone who meets her.
Katherine was in need of a lightweight adaptive wheelchair — one that would make it easier for her family to take her on new adventures and create even more special memories together. Thanks to the generosity of the Del Webb Making a Difference Club and Costco, Katherine now has the perfect chair to help her explore the world with ease and joy. Her face lit up with the most beautiful, bright smile when she received her new wheelchair!
