Meet 8-year-old Kegen. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy when he was 3 months old. He is fully dependent on his family for his everyday needs. Kegen has many challenges; he is a loveable young man who brings kindness and happiness wherever he goes.

Kegen has an array of interests. His favorite color is purple, for his favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings. He likes watching PBS Kids. He is a bright boy who loves Art class. Kegen and his 15-year-old brother enjoy being a part of My Team Triumph, where they participate in local 5Ks, 10Ks, Full Marathons and even Triathlons. Most of all, he adores his dog, Millie. Kegen inspires everyone and makes our world a better place.

Kegen needs a wheelchair lift for his vehicle to transport his power wheelchair safely. This will make it possible for his family to get him to and from doctor’s appointments, school, and home with greater ease and reliability. Having this equipment would make a meaningful difference in his daily life.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Shira Kiku Foundation, Kegen and his family are ready for new adventures! With a wheelchair lift, transporting Kegen’s wheelchair is now much easier, opening the door to more opportunities and greater independence. He’ll be able to explore the world around him, make lasting memories with family and friends, and, most importantly, travel safely and reliably to school and doctor’s appointments. Thank you, Shira Kiku Foundation, for making such a meaningful difference in Kegen’s life!
