Meet 18-year-old Keila, a remarkable young woman living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. She experiences weakness in her arms and legs, which affects her balance, but she faces life with a positive spirit and an active heart.
Keila is very social and loves spending time with her friends. Bright and thoughtful, she dreams of becoming an elementary school teacher, hoping to make a difference in the lives of children one day. When she’s not with friends, you’ll likely find her cuddling her beloved puppy, Sasha, a sweet Shih Tzu–Maltese. Keila also has a love for thrills and excitement and enjoys attending concerts whenever she can. Though she is naturally quiet and often prefers her own world, her strength and kindness inspire everyone around her.
Right now, Keila’s family is hoping to receive a Hoyer lift, which would allow them to safely and comfortably assist her in and out of the car for school, medical appointments, and everyday outings. This lift would provide greater safety, dignity, and independence for Keila and peace of mind for her family.
Will you be the hero who helps make this possible?
Your support would truly mean the world to Keila and her loving family.
