Meet 7-year-old Leah, who was diagnosed with Spina Bifida before she was born. Despite the many challenges she faces, she remains a sweet, loving, and active little girl.
Leah has many interests. She is a very sensitive little girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. Which explains why her favorite movie is “Spirit”. She is a bright girl who excels in Math class. Leah enjoys listening to music, especially Carin Leon. Leah is known as a foodie who enjoys Mom’s home cooking. When she’s not at school, she can be found outside, going to the park to play on the swings. Leah inspires everyone she meets and makes our world a better place.
Due to her Spina Bifida, Leah is fully dependent on others for her care and mobility. A properly fitting manual wheelchair would provide her with the safe, comfortable support she needs to get out into the world, explore her surroundings, and continue creating special moments with the people she loves.
Thanks to the generosity of the wonderful people at the Shira Kiku Foundation, Leah is ready for new adventures in her new manual wheelchair! Her new chair will give her the freedom, comfort, and support she needs to explore the world around her and create wonderful memories with family and friends. Most importantly, she can do it all in style and comfort.
